121 new Covid-19 cases were reported within a week, which is less than the number of new cases found last week (221). Da Nang, Hoi An continue social isolation until further announcement. Hai Duong imposes social distancing regulations from 14/08. Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City along with most areas are currently lowered to ‘at-risk’ after the social isolation ended on April 22.

Vietnam confirmed 31 new coronavirus infections, more than half in the epicenter Da Nang, and one virus-related death on Sunday.
After two day of the fundraising, Saigon Zoo decided to end the call for money as “donations have been quite enough for us to handle our difficulties during COVID-19 time”. Located in No.1 Le Duan Street - District 1, Saigon Zoo and Botanical Gardens is one of the most visited tourist attractions in Ho Chi Minh City. This Vietnam’s oldest zoo used to reach more than VND330 million (US$14,200) in daily revenue. However, the zoo has struggled with the cost to take care of nearly 1,500 animals as the down of ticket sales due to social distancing regulations. Saigon Zoo staffs have voluntarily donated 30 percent of their salary to buy foods for animals and the zoo’s public calls for donations have received positive feedback and donations.

21 new Covid-19 cases were reported, including 20 cases of community transmission relating to Đà Nẵng City (15 are from Đà Nẵng, two from Quảng Nam Province, two from Bắc Giang Province, one from Khánh Hoà Province) and one imported COVID-19 case in Ha Noi. Vietnam has recorded 810 cases.

Vietnam reported another 37 Covid-19 cases, total hits 546, marking the biggest single-day jump. 26 cases were isolated immediately after entering Vietnam, 3 cases announced in Ho Chi Minh City and 8 cases in Quang Nam. It is reported that there were two Covid-19 deaths in a single day.

The HCM City People’s Committee on July 30 ordered temporary closure of establishments providing non-essential services in the city, including bars and discotheques, as from 0:00 am of July 31 until further notice. Up to 30/07/2020, there are 45 Covid-19 cases reported in Da Nang. The lockdown was applied to Da Nang Hospital, Da Nang C Hospital, and Da Nang Orthopedics and Rehabilitation Hospital as these are where recently-recorded COVID-19 patients had been around prior to their diagnosis.
