1. Ton That Dam apartments
Ton That Dam apartments are located in one of the oldest buildings in Saigon. The architecturally significant building dates back to the 19th century, but despite its long life it remains in good shape!
You could say it looks like an ancient person living alongside members of younger generations, as it is surrounded by modern constructions like Bitexco, Landmark 81, to name a few. However, elders have their own appeal. So does the Ton That Dam apartments.
You can spend a whole day exploring numerous unique coffee shops and clothes stores around here. They each have their own styles, but all will attract you with their peaceful and tranquil atmosphere. The old Saigon is on display all around the Ton That Dam apartments, with aged walls, grey corridors, and classic items.
We highly recommends several nearby enticing destinations for you to enjoy around 14 Ton That Dam building. Café Hoang Thi is truly an old-fashioned dame with antique wooden furniture, original artworks, craft beer, and textured stucco walls.
Mockingbird Cafe is ideal for those who like to find themselves in beautiful surroundings. Its wooden doorway hides inside grey-painted walls decorated with chalk and paper, dried flowers, cozy lights and lanterns hanging from the ceiling.

2. Nguyen Hue apartments
If you happened to visit Nguyen Hue Walking Street on the weekend and feel tired of its noisy chaos, you can seek out some peace for yourself by crossing the street and entering the Nguyen Hue apartments.
Built in the middle 1960s, its layout is quite unique for an apartment block, as the entrances are on the backside of the building. You might think of it as a library of coffee shops which you can use for multiple purposes: hang out with friends, bring a romantic date, study, work or just sitting silently and sip a cup of tasty coffee.

If it is the first time you set your foot in this building, it is not unlikely you will feel a little bit confused because you cannot decide where to go once inside. What we suggested is to spot a specific destination you would like to visit before you head into the building, while you’re still outside looking at it from the street!
