We know you – international tourists - love walking but doing this in HCMC which is always full of people and traffic seems to be quite a challenge, huh? Don’t worry, we will show you several beautiful streets here to help you enjoy the surroundings while walking.

1. Nguyen Hue Walking Street

Ever since the first time I saw this street it always amazes me by its noise and energetic feel. People talk, sing, shout, walk, run, dance; people buy, sell, pose, take photos… Everything seems to be happening on this street. But even a crowded one like this, you still can walk and talk to your peers intimately and comfortably without being overheard or disturbed. Has a walker ever felt so tired after going up and down this street many times? I’m dead sure that you have! :D. So you can have a rest on the many benches placed along the street.

Nguyen Hue Walking street is wide and airy, you can feel the wind in your hair and against your skin every time you move. Wear light clothes and experience this sensation. This is also the thing I like to experience most when I come here because almost everywhere else in HCMC is so much hotter.

Besides walking, you can try eating and drinking in this street.:D There are a lot of vendors selling food from salty dishes to sweet items. And I think you won’t want to miss the chance to visit Nguyen Hue, 42 apartment nearby. Numerous unique shops decorated in both antique and modern styles, which sell clothes, drinks and food are waiting to be discovered by you there.

Address: Nguyen Hue Street, District 1, HCMC.

2. Bui Vien Walking Street

If Nguyen Hue Walking street is too noisy and lively for you, Bui Vien is 100 times that. Hmmm, perhaps 100 times is too much, I think it is busier than Nguyen Hue around 99 times.:D

The kind of people you can find here are mainly, firstly, foreign tourists; and secondly, even more foreign tourists!:D Honestly, you won’t find many Vietnamese people here except shop owners. The international visitors coming to Bui Vien Walking street are so numerous that this street is also called “The Western Quarter”.

A wide range of tourists are attracted by restaurants serving delicious food here. You can order tasty dishes, get several beers and chill with your friends until 2 a.m. the next day!

I am always impressed by the animated atmosphere in Bui Vien Street. The vibrant combination of strong music, riotous conversations and the energy of people coming here makes my heart feel alive. Walking here and I see myself merging into that strange but cheerful crowd. It is such a memorable experience!

3. Nguyen Van Binh Book Street

If your heart ever feels tired of Bui Vien Street’s enthusiasm, you can always have a change of pace and visit Nguyen Van Binh street which is perfect for the bookaholic to indulge their pleasure. :D

This is a quite short but peaceful and beautiful street lined with a lot of bookstores and book cafés. But the most interesting thing is that that you should explore and discover the charm of it for yourself. :D Because beauty is in the eye of the beholder, isn’t it?
